Halloween Mummy Jalapeno Poppers
Well today was a Halloween shopping day. Just imagine 3 adults running around a spooky Halloween store trying on masks, going through mazes and having spooky skeletons jumping at you. We decided since it is the first Halloween in our house we are going to build a spooky haunted house for the kiddies to Trick or Treat to. From fog machines, lighting, bloody window decorations to glow in the dark aliens; just hope the neighbour kids love it.
These have some ZING ! They're light, flaky, spicy and delicious!
- 10 large Jalapeno peppers sliced legthwise and cleaned out of seeds
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 8 oz pepper jack cheese shredded
- 1/2 tsp garlic minced
- pinch of salt
- pinch of pepper
- 1 scallion chopped finely
- 1-2 cans Pillsbury crescent rolls
- candy eyes
Preheat oven to 400 F
Line baking sheet with parchment paper
In a large mixing bowl add cream cheese, shredded cheese, scallion and mix all together really well.
Add salt, pepper and garlic and blend it all together.
Fill each half Jalapeno with the cream cheese mixture
Unroll the crescent rolls into rectangles (2 triangles together) Pinch the seam together so the 2 small triangles make I large. Giving you 4 large squares
With a pizza cutter, cut each square into 4 lengthwise strips.
Wrap one or two strips around each pepper, leaving room for the eyes
Bake for 10 - 12 minutes, depending on your oven. I could have probably left mine in another minute or so.
As soon as they come out of the oven. Add eyeballs
I ran out of eyeballs and used Halloween candies (candy necklace) now these were supposed to me Mummy’s but they turned out some kind of cute cartoon character HAHA . I thought I would share these with you too
