Big Mac Pizza Cake
So my little nephew was turning 8 this weekend. I always make them special cakes for their birthdays. This year I received a phone call (remember he is 7 yrs old ) from him. “Aunt Laurie I have a special request this year. Since I am not particularly fond of cake anymore, I would like you to make me a BIG MAC PIZZA please?’. Sunday morning I reach for my pizza pan to realize “oh no” my sister has it! Now what to do? I compromise. I take a 9×13 cake pan and make him a Big Mac Pizza Cake instead lol. Normally I would make it on a round pizza pan and make the special sauce on my own. They have recently came out with Mac Sauce at the stores, so I decided to skip that step (however I will still add the recipe for you).
1 cup Miracle Whip Salad Dressing
4 tbsp French Dressing
4 tbsp Sweet Pickle Relish
4 tbsp Minced Onion
2 tsp Vinegar
2 tsp Sugar
Mix all together and set aside
2 Pizza doughs (homemade or store bought)
1/2 Head of lettuce, shredded
1/2 Large onion (diced)
Sliced Dill pickles (enough to cover the dough
24 Hamburger patties (use the very thin cheap ones)
12-15 Kraft cheese slices
1/2 large brick of cheese blend
Take one pizza dough and cover the pan, if using a pizza pan, cover the pan and leave about 2 inch overhang. If using a cake pan go up the sides and hang over the top with the dough.
Cover the dough with 1/2 cup of Mac sauce.
Cover the sauce with minced onions, then pickles.
The next layer will be the hamburger patties, cover the pickles (usually 12 -15 patties)
Cover the patties with cheese slices.
Now take the 2nd crust and roll it out covering the whole pizza / cake. Save a couple tsp’s of Mac sauce and spread the rest over the pizza.
Cut up the rest of the hamburg patties into small pieces and put over the sauce. Cover the whole thing with shredded cheese (still leaving the overhang).
Now take the left over bottom crust (overhang) and fold it over into the top crust making a decent size top crust.
Bake 425 F for 20 – 25 minutes, the cheese will be bubbling and will look delicious.
Now take the shredded lettuce and cover the cheese. Dollop the remainder of the Mac Sauce over the lettuce.
Now for the extra special touch to complete it. I went and got a small order of McDonalds fries and covered the top!
Needles to say………. HE LOVED IT!
These are highly addictive, they are so delicious! Made them today and they are almost GONE!
