Oma’s Secret Dessert
(This is the only name it has ever been called in our family lol)
This recipe has been handed down to me from our OMA, she only gave it to my father in law and then he handed it down to me. We were only allowed to have this special dessert on Christmas and Mother’s day and sometimes on Easter. We almost always fought for the last piece.
Serves: 7 to 9 people

Cook time: 10 min
Best served after refrigerated for 6-12 hours / overnight is best
2 cups graham crackers
2 cans crushed pineapple
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup room temperature butter
1 can lemon pie filling
1 can condensed milk
1 large container cool whip
Preheat oven to 350 F
Grease a 8×8 baking dish
Combine graham crumbs with melted butter and pat into bottom of dish.
Bake for 10 minutes and let cool
Cream 1/2 cup softened butter with icing sugar for about 3 minutes
Add eggs and beat well.
Transfer into the cooled crust
Drain the crushed pineapple very well and spread over the egg mixture.
In a bowl, combine pie filling and condensed milk, then fold in whipped topping.
Spread over pineapple
Top with graham crumbs, crushed pineapple and cherries
Refrigerate before serving
