The Most Recent ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ Title Holders

Sexy means something different to everyone, but People magazine’s definition includes some of the hottest actors to hit Hollywood!

Here’s a look at the most recent guys to receive People magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ title over the past decade.

David Beckham (2015)

We always knew David Beckham was sexy, but now the soccer star can say he’s the SEXIEST!

Nabbing the honour for 2015, Beckham shared his condolences to Matt Damon with Jimmy Kimmel saying, “I would like to say…maybe next year.”

Chris Hemsworth (2014)

Last year’s title went to the sexier one of the two Hemsworth brothers, Chris!

The best part about the honour was “bragging rights” according to the 32-year-old Aussie.

Adam Levine (2013)

Upon hearing the news that he’s People’s choice for 2013’s Sexiest Man Alive, Adam Levine says to the magazine: “As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn’t really think that this was on the table… I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren’t, so that’s cool.”

Channing Tatum (2012)

Channing Tatum took the title in 2012 based on this criteria from People: “he has captivating eyes, a killer body and a sweet romantic streak- plus, he can dance, cook and gives a great massage!”

Bradley Cooper (2011)

Bradley Cooper’s sexiest traits according to People: “he has piercing eyes, a winning smile, tons of talent – plus he cooks and speaks French!”

Ryan Reynolds (2010)

Canada’s own Ryan Reynolds took the 2010 crown because as People puts it, he’s “every bit as sweet as he is sexy. Our 25th anniversary honouree delivers charm, wit and talent in one sizzling package.”

Johnny Depp (2009)

“After 25 years in show business and one ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ title already, the king of cool proves that killer cheekbones and natural charm never get old,” as Johnny Depp was honored in 2009.

Hugh Jackman (2008)

People magazine’s choice for 2008 is “rugged and romantic, dashing and devoted – this saucy Aussie is all heart, heat (and two days of stubble).”

Matt Damon (2007)

Getting the thumbs up from his pals (and former Sexiest Man Alive title holders) George Clooney and Brad Pitt, Matt Damon nabbed the crown in 2007 due to being “the most reluctant Sexiest Man Alive ever”.

“All it takes is one look at Matt Damon’s piercing blue eyes and his Family-guy demeanor to see why the title cannot be denied”.

George Clooney (2006)

Now who wouldn’t give George Clooney the title?!

People did for the second time in 2006, after he first nabbed the crown in 1997, saying: “He joins buddy Brad Pitt on the short list of twice-crowned studs.”

Matthew McConaughey (2005)

Matthew McConaughey was the 20th man to be crowned People’s Sexiest Man Alive – in 2005: “He’s chivalrous, passionate and cooks a mean marinara.”

Jude Law (2004)

Jude Law: What’s he all about?

According to People magazine, “supernatural good looks, supersize talent and so nice he just might kiss you if you have the nerve to ask.”
